Periodic Inspection Report (PIR)
Purpose
The purpose of the Periodic Inspection Report is to
- Protect against the effects of electric shock and burns.
- Protect property from damage by fire and heat arising from an installations defects
- Identify any damaged or deterioration of the electrical installation
- Provide a report on the condition of the installation
Standards
The inspection and test is carried out in accordance with the requirements of
- BS7671, the IEE Wiring Regulations
including Guidance Note No 3 – Inspection and Testing. - Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
