Funding your new charging system

Capital or lease?

The starting point is to chat to us. We will help you to understand the whole system costs and to build a robust business case. ElectrAssure systems can be bought outright, or leased through our partners at Lease Group.

Leasing is a very attractive option because it provides you with the very best charging system, whilst spreading the cost over a term of 1-6 years, which is very tax efficient. Leasing also enables you to retain capital on hand to fund other infrastructure projects.

We also offer a “Sale and Leaseback” arrangement to companies that have spent capital but would rather sell the equipment and then lease it back, releasing precious funds back into the business.

Currently, government grant funding, up to £14,000 is also available for workplace charge points. Contact us now for support in making the right funding choices.

Grant Funding

The Workplace Charging Scheme or ‘WCS’ is specifically designed to help fleets and businesses start their electrification journey. WCS is operated by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, part of the U.K. Government.

The WCS reduces the purchase and installation cost of a new workplace charging station by 75%

(capped at £350 per socket).

The grant can be claimed for a maximum of 40 charge points across all the sites of your business.

Do I qualify for the grant?

The WCS is available to any business, charity or public authority – but to qualify, you must have the following:

  • Dedicated off-street parking for staff and/or fleets
  • Your charger must be installed by an OLEV approved workplace installer
  • No proof of EV is required but you will need to declare the business need or intent to encourage EV uptake amongst your staff and/or your fleet
  • You must own the property or have consent from the landlord for charge points to be installed at all the sites listed in the application

How do I claim the grant?

It all begins by filling this online form. If your application is confirmed, you’ll receive a unique voucher code within 5 working days that you can present to us. The installation must be completed, and the grant claimed, within 120 days so don’t delay, otherwise you’ll need to re-apply.

If you have any problems completing the online application form then contact us and we will give you a hand.
